Letterpressing and America

Letterpressin'! In a white knit!

Last weekend Matthew taught me how to letterpress, a former profession of his, and I subsequently returned to my roots. Not that I have any letterpressing roots, but how can you not feel American and hearty when you're playing with ink and wood type, and everything smells like industry? And we all know the Mormon pioneers were all about industry. And homemade rolls.

I rest my case.

I am so jealous! Letterpress was one of my favorite college classes, I still miss it.

Actually you have printing roots... Ariah C. Brower was a printer by trade.
