Dancers Among Us

Images via Jordan Matter

Have you seen/heard of/read about Dancers Among Us? The project by photographer Jordan Matter combines the lines and grace of professional dancers with scenes from all over the city.

Or in other words, THE JUXTAPOSITION!

Dressing Up Cats

Why is the world so obsessed with dressing up cats? Why am I so obsessed with the world's obsession with dressing up cats?
I don't know (but SO CUTE). Another item to be added to the list of life's great unanswered questions.

Yes?

Seven things to love about this video:
1. Madison Square Park
2. Filmographers who go to circus school
3. Choreographed Dances
4. Great dance music
5. Personalized T-shirts
6. Public Embarrassment

and finally,

7. That she said yes, because talk about an awkward walk home

Amazon Kindle

I saw the newest Amazon Kindle commercial on my flight to last weekend (I went on vacations! Two of them!) and I remembered what I miss about not having cable.

Lisztomania

Sure, singing The Cranberries when I was in second grade was neat, but this takes the cake. Really. And to think, people still think music in elementary school isn't important. I mean, listen to that harmony!

I have an inkling we'd be friends

... this guy and I.
I also feel like it deserves a nice sassy caption, no?

Paper Castles

Because sometimes it's cold and you're already getting too excited for spring break, and you have post-graduation anxiety. And because paper castles, made with more creative talent than you can even imagine, are a cure for both those things.

Le Cool

This dresser, the "Le French" dresser, is amazing to say the least. But I'm sure you can tell that by just looking at it.

Unfortunately it was a personal DIY project and not for sale.

Le sigh.

Colette Patterns

Paying $16 for a pattern seems a bit steep for me, especially being a college student and everything, but these might just be the prettiest things I've seen.

Bookplates

With a big birthday coming up I know I should really start acting my age and be more mature, but things like these free bookplates to download make me really want to buy children's books, paste this inside the cover and read for hours about Celeste, Babar and the whole crew.

Wedding 2.0

Alright, so I don't really know these people. Forget the really, I don't know these people at all. But I do know I would've killed to attend their wedding.
Anything involving Brits with senses of humor, that adorable woman at 00:53 and Queen is bound to be amazing.

So, on the off chance that you ever stumble upon this blog, couple in this video, please consider sending an invite to your next party my way. Seriously. I'd fly to England for it.

Dutch Bike Co.

If this NYT article doesn't make you want to ditch the car and take a stroll around on your bike, well then good heavens, I don't know what will.

I'm already ready to scope out the sales and flea markets for an old bike to schlep back to school with me. And if that doesn't work, perhaps Mom won't notice if her blue Schwinn disappears for a few months?

Not a post about the election

I have learned my lesson. No political talk, ever. Let's all take a page from Guliani and support our nation. That's all.

On to better, less GOOD-GRIEF-I'M-GLAD-IT'S-OVER talk...

If I wasn't still a student, and instead spent much of my day at a desk I'm guessing I would probably have to invest in this little gem, as featured today on Design*Sponge. Nothing says LOOK AT ME! like a giant clothes pin, decorated adorably of course.

Cards Schmards

I formally apologize for being less than exciting, but this week has been a little more overwhelming and more chock full than I had expected (and I haven't even gotten to the big projects yet!).

But in lieu of that, here's something else...

Sycamore Street Press has most likely the coolest cards on their Etsy page. They're the perfect combination of classic charm and witty humor, with a dash of random. In other words, if I was a card I'd dream of sitting at their lunch table in school so I could be as cool as them.
