[insert Princess Bride quote here]

In only two days I'll be leavin' on a jet plane (or a Boeing 750), headed home to New York for ten days for my sister's wedding and I am so excited! I arrive Thursday afternoon, along with my grandparents and cousin Andrea, with only a few hours to spare before the rehearsal dinner at Shadows on the Hudson. I'm hopinghopinghoping that the flight has no delays or we'll miss the dinner and probably be stuck at JFK while everyone else is enjoying their food. And I think we all know that that's not acceptable- I like my food.
On Friday everyone's heading down to the city for the wedding at the Manhattan LDS Temple, followed by some wedding photos around the city. (I'm really just excited about running around in my bridesmaid dress in between photos like a crazy tourist picking up things my friends in Logan asked me to get for them while I'm there) The scheduled weather has been a bit fickle and it may rain, but we're hoping for the best.
On Saturday I'm sure I'll be running around with my mom making sure everything is set up and perfect for the reception at the Poughkeepsie Tennis Club (we all know mom wouldn't be okay with anything less :) ). I
then get the pleasure of wearing a pretty dress and putting on a smile for the reception line but after Kristen's wedding last summer I promised myself that I want to eat the food there. I know there's photo documentation of me eating at her recption, but I swear I didn't eat that much and there was so much good food to try! Plus let's be honest, The Artist's Palate, the caterer, happens to be one of my favorite places to eat so once the line is over you can guess where you'll find me the majority of the night.
This upcoming week will definitely be crazy but I'm so excited to be home, even if only for ten days. It's going to be so good to see everyone, and especially see a certain sister from Alabama whose baby was born in December and I have yet to see - I'm such a bad aunt, eek!
On a less exciting note, I have a fatty pimple on my chin which better be gone by Thursday or there will be one very unhappy bridesmaid running around New York!

I hope you have such a great time going home for a couple of days!! I wish I could be there for all of the festivities but we will see you back in Utah for the additional fun. Maybe when you tie the knot the timing will be better and we can party with you!!

It's going to be one crazy busy weekend, but oh so much fun. And as for that pimple on your chin---don't worry there's always photoshop :)
